Multi-purpose bonding agent, primer, sealer and admixture

SikaBond® PVA+ is a medium viscosity, polyvinyl alcohol stabilized, externally plasticised, vinyl acetate homopolymer. Contains no harmful phthalates.
SikaBond® PVA+ is an ideal primer and sealer for concrete and plaster. It has been designed specifically for use in the building industry as a general purpose, quick drying bonding agent for concrete and cement. It also acts as a mortar improver and admixture for screeds and renders.

Usage

As a general purpose adhesive for wood, cork, paper, textiles, cardboard and other similar porous substrates.
As an admixture for mortar, screeds and renders.
As a bonding agent for plaster, cement screeds and render to sounds surfaces such as concrete, stone and brick.
As a primer and sealer before plastering, painting or in tiling applications.
As an internal filler when mixed with wood shavings, plaster etc.

APPROVALS / STANDARDS

Conforms to the bond strength requirements of BS 5270: Part 1 :1989, “Polyvinyl acetate (PVAC) emulsion bonding agents for internal use with gypsum building plasters”.

Classified as a D2 wood adhesive under EN 204:2016.

Application

Consumption

High Suction surfaces, Neat; 1 litre per 8.56m².
Low Suction surfaces, Neat; 1 litre per 5.7m².
As a sealer or primer diluted 1:3; 1 litre per 5.7m².
Consumption will vary dependent upon surface porosity.
